An update to a previous posting by myself,
So what more do I have to add, read and ye shall find out.
About work about jobs.
Turned down time and time again because of who I am, because of no grade 12. I am one that falls into this category. Alot may not know about it, but I ain't scared to share it with people that I don't have it, why why should someone be scared or shy, or anything in the nature to say, no I don't have my grde 12, does that make me less of a person.
During my past experience from work and from what I have seen. From what others tell me and experience as well.
There is a good portion of people these days that don't have the same education as others. No college, post secondary, and some no high school diploma,
So where do those people fall who don't have it, hopelessly looking for a job, that well, doesnt seem to show up, that is unattainable because they aren't educated like the others are.
I myself have be turned down over and over because I don't got my grade 12, I do have my credentials though from a private institution, yet no grade 12. So why do I get turned down if I have those but no grade 12, does it make me more dumb or not as good as the one with the grade 12.
SO what am I willing to do about it. For one I ain't gonna get my GED, nor my grade 12, you don't need it, its not mandatory to have, you don't have to be pushed to get it, or threatened, or pushed down to the bottom of the pile like a no good fish.
WHY WHY WHY
These days more and more companies demand you have your grade 12 or else they will not hire you. Its quite sad, actually very sad that companies do that people. I say they are hurting themselves more then they are hurting the people who come in with no grade 12 diploma, why you may ask, the reason is clear, there is alot of smart, intelligent people out there with brains, who don't have education to back themselves up, so what do they have to back themselves up, there brain, there will power, there intelligence, there inner genius, so why are people getting turned down work.
Me I don't understand the answer to why companies do this. Its quite pathetic, non professional, as they are truly missing out on some if not many of the worlds most intelligent people.
I remember when I graduated school in March of 2005, I applied at 25 or so places in the city, guess what I got out of that, absolutely nothing, had to go back to laboring work as my credentials weren't worth anything and to date really much still aren't.
I was in a class of about 25 people, so where are all those people, are they in the same boat as me, or have they found the job they wanted to get with the schooling they took, well I can say I know where over half of them are, and they sure aren't working where they should be, some at walmart, some at car dealership, ha and even one hired as a mail sorter, with credentials like that, my friends, this is just rediculous.
Oh we can't hire you, you don't have enough experience, no portfolio, well people, where the heck are you suppose to get experience if no one will even look at you, let alone hire you to gain that experience.
So another thing to mention, My course was 13,000 for one year to complete, I didn't actually have to pay for it as I was sponsored from Metsi Saskatchewan. But its still the fact that it was 13,000 gone to waste. Why else you ask it was gone to waste, well the 25 or so students that were left at the school waiting for there grad and finishing up there courseware, got a little visit from the head chief of CDI, what news did he have for us.
Well the news was the school is shutting down, shutting down 25 or so centers across Canada, so finish up your course asap and your on your own is what we were told, so what does that say for these graduates for work, not good at all, as companies look at them and say, well your school doesn't exist, it closed down, why why why, right away they point the fingers, were they actually trained the right way, do they know what they are doing, or was everything rushed, so it put a BIG damper on our work for when we graduate.
While I attending it was quite pathetic, no teacher to teach us our work, as luke slow walker sat on his pedastal doing nothing for the students, oh wait, just for the ones he liked. And then later through the course they hired a recent graduate, yea it was good that they gave him a job, but it was poor on there behalf, as he didn't even know what he was doing, the course he took, was less then what we were trying to obtain.
What am I trying to say here, is that no matter your color, your religion, your race, your education, we should all be granted equal work rights, equal work opportunities, no matter any of the above statements, and it is not happening.
That leaves me with doing laboring work, yup laboring work with the background I have in IT, 6 years of it. I guess thats life, thats how some or most of the worlds intelligent people are left to be.
Thats about all that was on my mind thus far, but I definately will have an update to this, and other things that come to mind, to tune it and read up.
Regards,
